The Tulsa Fire Museum has officially ignited its Light the Way Campaign, beginning the first major step toward future growth and expansion.
The campaign’s initial goal is to raise $175,000 to fund a comprehensive interpretive plan, a professional roadmap that will guide how the museum tells the story of Tulsa’s fire service and how our programs will serve our community and stakeholders.
To lead this effort, the museum has partnered with Exhibit Concepts, a nationally recognized exhibit design firm with experience creating immersive museum environments across the country. The firm will work alongside museum leadership to evaluate the museum’s collections, historic Fire Alarm Building, visitor experience, and long-term campus potential.
Starting with a formal interpretive plan ensures that future exhibits, renovations, and expansion efforts are built on a clear and cohesive foundation. Before designing new spaces or launching a major capital campaign, we need a thoughtful plan that defines the story we are telling and how visitors will experience it.
The interpretive planning process will examine the full history of Tulsa’s fire service and identify opportunities for expanded exhibits, educational programming, and future facility improvements.
To add to this, an anonymous donor has pledged to match all Light the Way contributions dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000, doubling the impact of gifts made during this initial phase.
Community members are invited to become Torchbearers by contributing $1,000 toward the campaign. Torchbearers will be permanently recognized as founding supporters of this planning effort. Pledges may be fulfilled over time, and contributions are tax-deductible.
The Tulsa Fire Museum, located in the historic Tulsa Fire Alarm Building, is dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of Tulsa’s fire service through exhibits, public programming, and community engagement.
