Chief Michael Baker

2020 - Present

Appointed Tulsa's 12th Fire Chief on June 16, 2020, Michael Baker brings over 30 years of public safety to the position. As former Chief of Emergency Medical Services, he played a pivotal role in elevating Tulsa's EMS into one of the nation's top performing systems. Chief Baker's leadership has led TFD through the pandemic while bolstering and modernizing training, operations, and community engagement. He's guiding Tulsa into the era of cutting-edge response technology, including wielding drone operations for rapid situational awareness at fires and emergencies.
