Founded in 2015, The Tulsa Fire Museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the proud history of the Tulsa Fire Department and the fire services of our extended communities. Our mission is to honor the men and women who have devoted their lives to protecting others, while educating the public about fire safety and the legacy of service that has shaped our city.

The museum itself is housed in an artifact of history - the iconic Fire Alarm Building. Built in 1931, this Art-Deco landmark once served as Tulsa's central fire communications hub, dispatching firefighters across the city for decades. Today, the building not only safeguards our historic exhibits, artifacts, and photographs, but is a centerpiece of the story we tell.

The Tulsa Fire Museum is governed by a Board of Directors and powered by the support of volunteers, donors, and community partners. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on this shared commitment to preserve our history for future generations.

Looking ahead, we are actively fundraising to expand the museum. Our goal is to create additional space for exhibits, enhance educational programming, and ensure full ADA compliance, so that every visitor can experience Tulsa's fire service history without barriers. This expansion will allow us to grow while continuing to honor the traditions of service, sacrifice, and community education.
