Museum Expanding Access in 2026

For many years, the Tulsa Fire Museum has welcomed the public through regular Open Houses, giving visitors a chance to explore the Museum, connect with Tulsa’s fire service history, and see what’s happening behind the scenes. Beginning in 2026, we’re excited to expand that tradition by making the Museum more accessible to our community.
Starting in January, Open Houses will move from an every-other-month schedule to monthly events, offering more opportunities throughout the year to visit, bring friends or family, and spend time with our growing collection of Tulsa’s fire history.
To better accommodate different schedules, our Open House events will alternate between weekend afternoons and weekday evenings.
Weekend Afternoon Months: January • March • May • July • September • November
Weekday Evening Months: February • April • June • August • October • December
This rotating format allows visitors to choose a relaxed weekend visit or a convenient evening stop after work or school. The specific times will be announced as the months approach.
In addition to expanding Open Houses, the Tulsa Fire Museum will also begin offering regular business office hours starting in January 2026.
Weekly Business Office Hours: Every Friday (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
These office hours are intended for Museum Store order pickup and donation drop-offs, making it easier for supporters and donors to connect with the Museum during the workweek. Please note that Friday office hours do not include general exhibit access, which will continue to be offered during monthly scheduled Open Houses.
