The Tulsa Fire Museum Volunteer Group is a private space for active volunteers to stay connected, informed, and engaged with museum events and operations.


Here you’ll find upcoming volunteer opportunities, training resources, and updates from museum staff. Use this group to share experiences, ask questions, and help us keep the spirit of Tulsa’s firefighting history alive!

Treat all volunteers, staff, board members, visitors, and community members with courtesy and professionalism. No personal attacks, harassment or bullying, or discriminatory comments.

Keep Discussions Museum Related

Posts and comments should support the mission and activities of the museum.

Protect Museum Information

Some information may be confidential or restricted. Do not share security information, passwords, access codes, sensitive donor information, personal information about volunteers or visitors, or non-public collections information without approval.

Use Professional Communication

This portal is an extension of the museum workplace. Please avoid profanity directed at others, hostile arguments, rumors, gossip, or inflammatory political discussions.

Share Photos Responsibly

We love seeing volunteer activities! Before posting photos, respect the privacy of visitors and volunteers, avoid sharing sensitive collection storage areas, and do not post photos of restricted artifacts or archives without approval.

Questions and Ideas are Encouraged

We welcome questions, suggestions, historical discoveries, project ideas, and volunteer feedback. Constructive discussion helps us grow.

Resolve Concerns Through Appropriate Channels

If you have a concern regarding a volunteer, staff member, board member, or museum operation, please contact museum leadership directly rather than using the group to address personal disputes.

Volunteer Opportunities are First Come, First Served

Some events and projects have limited openings. Please sign up only for opportunities you can attend and notify leadership as soon as possible if plans change.
